St. Katharine Drexel has enjoyed having an excellent preschool programm open to children of all faiths. Preschool offers children the opportunity to:
learn about God’s love and basic Bible stories
develop a positive self-concept
learn respect, responsibility and cooperation
learn new skills and improve skills already known

An outline of a day in St. Katharine Drexel Preschool begins with the teacher greeting children and talking with parents. Circle time includes calendar (learning the days of the week/months of the year,) helpers of the day, weather/seasons, songs, an introduction to the art project of the day, and sharing time. Work time includes new activities, an art project and activities around the classroom. This changes weekly if not daily! A second circle time focuses on the letter of the week, a review of the day and singing. The day includes a prayer before snack time, a story time and/or sharing bag and play time in the classroom or in the gym or outside.
